Beaches of Longboat Key

"No camping and no fires allowed on any stretch of Longboat Key. Very Limited parking. Longboat Key is a bird and wildlife sanctuary so absolutely no dogs allowed unless they are legit service dogs. Signs are posted at each access point regarding beach rules, the police do patrol the beaches and enforce the rules."

"Longboat key has a very beautiful beach. It is mainly private development on the Gulf side, but there are 12 public access points that have parking or nearby parking. The beach is never crowded so if you like seclusion, you can find it here. There are no facilities of any sort here."

"A great Beach to visit with white sand and very warm water. There seemed to be plenty of parking at the one end, as but as you get further north in the Longboat and into the beach north of that parking becomes more sparse and more difficult to find."
